Shared Energy Storage Power Station

Release time: 2026-05-09

1)     Customer Challenges: The Qinghai region possesses abundant solar energy and wind energy resources; however, the grid's accommodation capacity is constrained during specific periods, imposing wind and solar curtailment pressures on certain renewable energy generation enterprises. Moreover, mandating that each renewable energy project independently deploy energy storage systems results in substantial initial capital expenditure and operational maintenance costs, while the decentralized energy storage assets exhibit low utilization efficiency.

2)     Solution: Eneroc, acting as the core equipment supplier and system solution provider, participated in the development of an independent 50MW/100MWh shared energy storage facility. The facility utilizes a large-scale containerized energy storage system, with centralized construction and operation.

3)     Operating Mode: As an independent energy storage asset, the facility primarily offers flexible energy storage capacity leasing services to adjacent renewable energy (solar energy/wind) power producers. Renewable energy companies can lease specified energy storage capacity based on their requirements to store surplus electricity for later dispatch, thereby optimizing their generation profiles and enhancing grid compatibility and economic returns.

4)     Implementation Outcomes: This project, through a shared utilization model, has significantly reduced the threshold and costs for new energy enterprises in the region to deploy energy storage systems, effectively facilitating local consumption of clean energy and minimizing curtailment losses.
